Description:	Looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Hardware Design Engineer to develop hardware and firmware for next generation commercial lighting control panel and sensor systems. The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to new product specification, design, hardware and firmware development, verification, integration, test requirements definition, and production support
Start Date:	ASAP
Required Skills:	Qualified Candidates will have: 7+ years experience with embedded system development In depth experience with embedded microprocessor-based design techniques and peripherals Strong background and experience in digital and analog design Experience interfacing analog sensors to microprocessors Hands on knowledge of various standard network communication topologies, including Echelon LON, Ethernet, I2C, RS232, RS485/422, SPI Experience working with regulatory agencies including UL, FCC, and CE Practical knowledge of C programming for embedded systems including use of debug tools Excellent analytical, prototyping and debugging skills Demonstrated ability to take products through full life cycle from concept to high volume production and sustaining Experience with embedded RTOS environments such as uC/OS-II Excellent oral and written communication skills Qualifications desired but not required: Experience with DSP techniques, filters and video/audio algorithms Experience with ultrasonic transducers, PIR motion sensors, relays Working knowledge of short/midrange wireless technologies such as ZigBee Experience in the lighting industry Familiarity with Linux
Education:	BSEE or equivalent advanced engineering degree
